why use
EyeCSite Pro is a consolidated Automated Video Management platform for industry; combining thermography, fugitive gas leak detection & quantification, flare monitoring, fire detection, and alerts within one intuitive and modular software.
By taking advantage of a unified approach for industrial monitoring your organisation becomes more efficient, makes better decisions, and responds to situations and threats with greater confidence.
Q&A
Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) is an advanced thermal imaging technology that uses highly sensitive infrared cameras to detect even the smallest fugitive emissions of industrial gases. These gas leak detection cameras provide a fast and safe method for identifying and visualizing leaks, allowing for quick repairs. This proactive approach helps prevent substantial damage, minimize revenue loss, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Opgal offers two types of gas leak detection cameras: cooled (EyeCGas 2.0 & EyeCGas 24/7 PRO) and uncooled (EyeCGas Mini & EyeCGas 24/7). The main difference lies in their sensitivity and the wavelengths they can detect. Cooled cameras use a cryogenic cooler to detect gases in the MWIR (Mid-Wave Infrared) spectrum, allowing them to identify a wide range of compounds like methane, propane, and over 400 VOCs at small concentrations. Uncooled cameras, on the other hand, detect gases in the LWIR (Long-Wave Infrared) spectrum, but are less sensitive and can only detect compounds like methane (in larger concentrations), ammonia, SF6, and HFCs.
When choosing between the two, cooled cameras offer higher sensitivity, better image quality, and the ability to detect a broader range of gases from greater distances, but they come at a higher cost. Uncooled cameras are more affordable, less sensitive, and suitable for detecting larger leaks at closer ranges.
Cooled OGI cameras are highly sensitive, capable of detecting and visualizing even the smallest leaks of methane, CO2, and over 400 VOCs from distances of up to 10 kilometers (6.2 miles).
