The ELIOS 3 is the latest generation of indoor/confined space UAV specifically designed for flights inside of GPS-denied environments. Building on the success of the generation 2, the ELIOS 3 encompasses crash-resilience, intuitiveness, reliability and precision indoor inspection. Optical flow stabilisation sensors are now replaced with state-of-the-art 3x computer vision cameras that anchors onto 21 anchor points during flight, maintaining the flight stability regardless of the environment. The legacy cage comes together with the UAV and is now 480mm wide, 380mm in height.
The new LiDAR payload on the UAV also assists pilots with live 3D mapping, providing better spatial awareness, mapping the flight space and providing flight trajectory while in operation. The ELIOS 3 also stores data captured by the LiDAR, enabling operators/asset owners to extract the LiDAR data and enhance the model using GeoSLAM or any other software compatible with LiDAR files. The accuracy of the LiDAR data is about ±2cm using GeoSLAM, and ±10cm when using the proprietory Inspector 4.0. For visual inspections, the 4k resolution camera of the ELIOS 3 captures crisp, sharp images, enabling the operator to obtain optimal information of the assets’ conditions.
Designed to be future-proofed with modular capabilities available in the coming months, the ELIOS 3 was built to further enhance your inspection capabilities using various industrial payloads suitable for different types of inspections. Full autonomous flight, NDT techniques and even outdoor flights will be part of the ELIOS 3 capabilities in the upcoming development roadmap releases.
