description
EyeCGas® Multi Optical Gas Detector for Methane, Hydrocarbons, more than 400 VOCs and CO2 EyeCGas Multi is the world’s most sensitive handheld Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) camera. It quickly identifies fugitive gas emissions of over 400 hydrocarbon and VOC gases. Including Methane and CO2. EyeCGas Multi is Intrinsically Safe and complies with the EPA’s OOOO’a/b/c regulations. With the widest performance envelope. EyeCGas Multi is used globally across the industry for LDAR compliance. It is certified and Classified for hazardous environments ANSI/ISA-Class I and II, Div. 2, & Class III, CSA C22.2 Class I, Div. 2 and ATEX II, IECEx EMT 19.0006X as Intrinsic Safety “ic”, protection “n”. Clearly designed to work in harsh conditions. Based on customer feedback, EyeCGas Multi has a wide range of unique features making it the best OGI camera in the world. EyeCGas Multi by Opgal helps you detect and repair gas leaks inside the facility limits without the need of a hot permit, allowing video and audio recording and streaming, while maintain safety.
- Multi-Spectral Filters – EyeCGas Multi is the only OGI camera that offers three operator replaceable filters; for VOC gases 3.2μm to 3.4μm, for heavier alkanes (better for long-range detection) 3.3μm to 3.5μm and for CO2 4.2μm to 4.4μm.
- Built In Quantification – Easily Measure concentration as well as mass flow of various VOC emissions in real time using a user friendly interface.
- Wireless Connectivity – With the best connectivity of any OGI camera in the world, EyeCGas Multi offers video streaming to the officially EyeCGas App via WiFi, and Bluetooth integration with 3rd party software and devices.
- Better Safety – An Intrinsically Safe camera for OGI, EyeCGas Multi is designed explicitly for the Oil and Gas industry’s harsh environments. It is certified to meet IEC standards for temperature, humidity, vibration, dust, and IP65 water & dust protection. Certified for use in Class I Div 2 ATEX II hazardous environments.
- Higher Sensitivity – With NETD of <10mK, EyeCGas 2.0 is the most sensitive OGI camera. It can detect leaks as small as 0.35 g/hr (methane) and is fully certified to meet EPA (NSPS) 40 CFR part 60, subpart OOOO’a/b/c requirements.
- Better Usability – EyeCGas Multi has smart LDAR operations offering wireless integration with leading LDAR software and quantification devices, allowing real-time component tag synchronization and a simple association between components, images, and videos.
- More Versatile – Thermography mode enables accurate temperature measurement, six color palettes, and an option for easy export of radiometric data.
- 4 year warranty – This ruggedized camera was built to last. Rest assure your investment in guaranteed with the longest warrantee in the market.
- Free firmware updates: Receive camera software upgrades and improvements regularly free of charge.

Q&A
Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) is an advanced thermal imaging technology that uses highly sensitive infrared cameras to detect even the smallest fugitive emissions of industrial gases. These gas leak detection cameras provide a fast and safe method for identifying and visualizing leaks, allowing for quick repairs. This proactive approach helps prevent substantial damage, minimize revenue loss, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Opgal offers two types of gas leak detection cameras: cooled (EyeCGas 2.0 & EyeCGas 24/7 PRO) and uncooled (EyeCGas Mini & EyeCGas 24/7). The main difference lies in their sensitivity and the wavelengths they can detect. Cooled cameras use a cryogenic cooler to detect gases in the MWIR (Mid-Wave Infrared) spectrum, allowing them to identify a wide range of compounds like methane, propane, and over 400 VOCs at small concentrations. Uncooled cameras, on the other hand, detect gases in the LWIR (Long-Wave Infrared) spectrum, but are less sensitive and can only detect compounds like methane (in larger concentrations), ammonia, SF6, and HFCs.
When choosing between the two, cooled cameras offer higher sensitivity, better image quality, and the ability to detect a broader range of gases from greater distances, but they come at a higher cost. Uncooled cameras are more affordable, less sensitive, and suitable for detecting larger leaks at closer ranges.
Cooled OGI cameras are highly sensitive, capable of detecting and visualizing even the smallest leaks of methane, CO2, and over 400 VOCs from distances of up to 10 kilometers (6.2 miles).
